|About the Book|
Nice survey of Church history and teaching in the area of health and fitness, and a refutation of the error of viewing the body as evil or totally corrupted. Most of the chapters stand alone, almost like a collection of essays. It also tends towards the academic side, rather than being a self improvement or exhortation to fitness.I admit that I was hoping for something more along the lines of George Sheehan type of philosophy and prose. But that ended up not being the goal of this author. Although this book would be a fantastic reference for someone wanting to write that type of book.Taken for what it is, it is a fine book and we need more like it.
